Emmerdale’s Moira Dingle temporary exit confirmed

She’s taking a break from the village.

Moira Dingle has been announced as taking a brief leave on Emmerdale.

Moira has had a rough few months, having just been diagnosed with a brain tumor known as a meningioma, which has caused memory loss, personality changes, and seizures.

Moira then began covertly preparing a living will so that her husband Cain would not be forced to make any life-or-death choices for her if her operation failed.

Cain finally discovered what his wife was doing, and although the two reconciled, Moira insisted on her right to choose her own destiny.

In Wednesday’s (October 30) episode, Matty stopped by Butlers Farm to inform Moira and Cain about Ross Barton’s surprise reappearance.

Mandy then told Cain that Matty was taking some time off work to go see Adam Barton away from the community.

“We just need to pack some stuff and then get off,” Moira said.

Cain was irritated that he hadn’t had time to “get [his] head around” Moira’s departure. He was afraid that Moira would have a seizure while she was abroad.

“Don’t worry, we’ve got it all figured out,” Moira informed him. “Matty is going to care after my meds. Listen, I need to see Adam. “You are aware of this.”

Cain then remarked, “So, the farewell tour begins here, eh?”

Moira accepted the statement in stride, pledging that she will give Sir Elton John “a run for his money” during his recent Farewell Tour.

“I will be home for my operation,” she vowed.

Later, Cain and Moira said farewell before he joined the lads in seeing Moira go on her voyage.

The Emmerdale crew is still working with Brains Trust and The Brain Tumour Charity to produce an accurate picture of the illnesses that individuals confront on a daily basis in the UK.

“I feel really fortunate to be trusted with such a challenging storyline,” Natalie J Robb, who portrays Moira, recently said.

“Moira and her family have an extremely challenging time ahead, and I’m hoping I can portray it in a truthful way that does justice to all the people who are really suffering with a brain tumour.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30 p.m. on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
