The vile abuser has been turned on by almost the entire village – and someone wants him gone
EMMERDALE watchers will see Tom King disgraced in the Dales when his disgusting conduct is exposed.
In earlier episodes on ITV, fans saw Tom hauled to the police station for another round of interrogation after shocking discoveries from his own family.
Nicole has shown Tom’s harsh side, and Carl, her little stepson, is terrified of him, so he has been questioned about his conduct against wife Belle.
However, Tom may now face payback, as Emmerdale fans will see a startled Laurel Thomas find a bleeding Tom outside the church, alleging he was assaulted.
However, when Laurel offers assistance, Tom refuses to go to A&E or the police station, and Jimmy’s prior reservations immediately dissipate as he reassures his nephew of his support.
Jimmy accuses Samson Dingle of assaulting Tom.
The following day, Tom is horrified to see that the ‘Guy’ being tossed on the bonfire has his resemblance, in what looks to be a joke from the rest of the hamlet.
The atmosphere around the bonfire is tense as the townspeople watch the Guy burn and the Dingles each claim responsibility for creating the ‘Guy’, which further makes Tom angrier.
Tom, terrified, loses his calm and takes it out on his new colleague, Amelia Spencer.
Amelia had previously dismissed warnings about Tom’s controlling and violent behavior, preferring to trust her new lover instead.
Daisy Campbell, who portrays Amelia, told the Mirror that she felt “very vulnerable” and was being “manipulated.”
She said, “There is a ten-year age gap between Amelia and Tom, and she is vulnerable.”
“When I think of Amelia, she’s never cheerful; she constantly has terrible tales and is quite fragile.
“I think he’s got her where he wants her – she’s not seeing it right now because he’s an older man.”
She added: “She views him as a guy who can defend her, so she doesn’t see the abusive side. I believe he must proceed with caution since he does not want Amelia to realize that she is the only one on his side right now.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30 p.m. on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
